The song has sold a little over 190,000 units, which isn’t much when you figure how long it’s been out, so I hope that that count isn’t completely accurate. Today the RIAA introduced a new rule that streaming content would be counted in the process of awarding Gold and Platinum certification, not just digital or physical sales alone. Last year ‘(Kissed You) Good Night’ was awarded Gold status for selling over 500,000 copies of the single. The music video on YouTube has over 5,000,000 views (and this is not counting other streaming sites such as CMT.com, Spotify, etc). Could we see Gloriana be awarded their first platinum single? I haven’t dedicated a post to Billboard in a while, but ‘Can’t Shake You’ having jumped 4 spots, I figured this deserved one. While it’s been bouncing back and forth on the Mediabase charts (update this Saturday), it enters the Top 20 at #20 on the Billboard Country chart and moves up to #105 on Hot 100!
